Supporting change-making advocacy
We believe that sustainable structural changes are achieved through political decision making. For this reason we have chosen to direct our support to advocacy CSOs in the South working on the same themes that Kepa does in Finland.
We have currently 10 partners in the South, four Mozambique, four in Tanzania, one in Cambodia and one in Nicaragua. Support is given to partners' own plans and chosen strategies which may involve for example direct lobbying, campaigning or media work.
Through working together with our partners we also receive valuable information and insight that supports Kepa's advocacy in Finland.
Building capacity and producing information
Kepa brings CSOs together in different events such as workshops and seminars, aiming to support CSO advocacy and facilitate information sharing and networking that creates space for civil society actors to jointly learn from each other.
Policy analysis on Kepa's main themes is part of our work in the South. The themes are economic justice, climate justice, development financing and enabling environment for civil society,
We are also actively in contact with many of our members partners to learn from them and to gain knowledge that helps us to provide links and information to wider group of CSOs in our operating countries in the South as well as for our member organisations in Finland.
Follow our blog and news to keep on track of topical policy issues and state of civil society in Tanzania and in Mozambique.
