Training services

KEPA provides training and advice for NGOs both in Finland, and through field offices in Mozambique, Nicaragua and Tanzania. KEPA also organises courses on the internet.

Upcoming training courses in Finland (and on the Web) are listed at KEPA's course schedule in the KEPA calendar. Course language is the one used in the title.

KEPA's training services are designed to provide participants with useful skills and knowledge to help them work to promote social responsibility around the world.

KEPA's training is primarily intended for Finnish NGOs and their partners, but KEPA field offices in Africa and Nicaragua can also provide advice and training for other local NGOs.

The exact nature of such training varies from country to country according to local needs, but all of KEPA's training concerns the following basic themes:

• Development co-operation projects: project planning, project evaluation and financial administration
• Development policies, with the elimination of poverty as the key theme
• NGOs' advocacy activities
• Strengthening NGOs' organisational capacities

The themes of partnership, equality and participation are covered in separate courses, but are also integrated into other training in all sectors.
